Super Day at Jackson Hole Skiing with gold medalist Tommy Moe

Great meal Tuesday night at Bin 22 and wine bar and small plate place in Jackson.  We had a couple different red wines, cheese, olives and octupus.
A warm partly cloudy day.  Jackson hole base is at 6,000 ft. and the top is at 10,400.

Met up with Tommy Moe at 9;15 and skied all day with him.  Tommy won 2 Olympic alpine skiing medals including the gold  in downhill in 1994.  Today is his 46th birthday.  No us male has won this event since.  Hard pack but good cover snow was the conditions for the day.  We skied every lift at least once and many very steep runs.  Carving hard on the steep firm runs was a necessity but very fun.  We did not stop for lunch rather we took a 15  minute break at Corbetts Cabin at the top of the tram.  No seats in this small place available so we sat in the ski patrol room.  Very interesting people.  Probably the most capable ski patrollers in the country due to the big steep mountain, heavy snow and cold.  No lunch just fritos and gatorade, hard core but fun.  We skied until about 3:30 then went to the Mangy Moose for apre which is always fun.  Dinner tonight at Trio.Thursday another day at JH.

Some photos and videos below.
